MPhil in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship
***Please note this course is not accepting any new applicants for 2017.18***
This MPhil is being offered in partnership with Goldsmiths College, which specialises in the arts, humanities and social sciences. Goldsmiths has a distinguished history of contributing to arts and sciences. Its Department of Art is widely recognised as one of Britain's most prestigious, producing the Young British Artists art collective and over 20 Turner Prize nominees. Goldsmiths College is also famous for psychology, drama, sociology, music, media and cultural studies, languages and literature, visual cultures and anthropology.
There are no similar Master's programmes offered in Ireland, and research has shown that there are many individuals currently employed in the creative industries who would benefit from exposure to modules in entrepreneurship which are relevant to their careers in the creative industries and organisations. This course is also aimed at graduates from the creative disciplines who want to develop a career either within a creative organisation or independently.
The Institute of Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship (ICCE) in Goldsmiths will deliver two of the key modules in this MPhil: Design Thinking and Entrepreneurial Modelling. These modules will be taught by Goldsmiths staff in Trinity. The final project/dissertation which takes place over the summer months can be undertaken under specialist supervision either in Trinity or Goldsmiths.
